Our rate from our power supplier are based on our top five highest days of usage, so by reducing your energy use, you will help keep rates low. We anticipate alerts all week.
If you have a load control switch, it will be activated.
Remember, electricity costs MORE during a peak period of demand. Here’s what you can do to help:
- Delay hot water use, showering, washing clothes, etc., until after the peak.
- Turn off unnecessary lights.
- Cook with the microwave rather than the oven, which uses more energy (or grill out... you can even choose to go out to eat instead).
- Tap the A/C up a few degrees, then wait until after the peak.
