Insulation & Air Sealing Rebate

Paulding Putnam is introducing a new energy efficiency program for residential members. The Insulation & Air sealing program can help members save money on their home’s energy costs, and increase the home’s comfort level, further reinforcing the Cooperative’s dedication to energy efficiency, care for the environment, and commitment to the community.

Participating members who meet the requirements of this program are eligible to receive 50% of the total project cost, up to $600.

Specific Requirements

1. Insulation and air sealing upgrades must be installed by a licensed contractor. Do-it-yourself insulation and air-sealing upgrade projects are not eligible for this rebate.
2. All projects must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and building codes.
3. A program application must be submitted to Paulding Putnam.
4. Only 1 rebate is permitted per household.

Eligibility For Rebate

1. All qualifying insulation and air sealing upgrades must be installed in an electrically heated residential home that receives its electric power from Paulding Putnam and must meet the specific requirements of this program.
2. All projects must be completed between January 1 and December 31.
3. Member must own the residence and be the homeowner of record.
4. All projects must be a retrofit installation in an existing residential home.
5. This rebate program is for attic or exterior wall insulation or air sealing upgrades only.
6. Installations that are not eligible for a rebate include the following: new construction, room additions, garages, sheds, workshops, insulating doors, and soundproofing applications.
7. To meet insulation requirements, contractors must follow ENERGY STAR guidelines and achieve a minimum R-20 for walls, and R-38 for attic.

Conditions of Rebate

1. A blower door test is required for all air-sealing projects. Final test results after the air sealing upgrade must achieve less than 4,000 CFM50 to be eligible for a rebate.
2. The cooperative must verify completed installation meets program guidelines.

Rebate

1. Rebate will pay 50% of the total project cost of up to $400 for insulation.  The total insulation rebate to members is limited to no more than $800, or 50% of the total project cost.
2. Rebate will pay 50% of the total project cost of up to $200 for air sealing. The total air sealing rebate to members is limited to no more than $400 or 50% of the total project cost.
3. Only 1 rebate application may be paid per home. The rebate paid can be for insulation and/or air sealing.
4. Members must fill out the below application.
5. After receipt, the application will be processed in the order in which it was received. Member will be contacted for an inspection. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing.
6. The rebate will be applied as an account credit.

All rebates are subject to change, and Paulding Putnam reserves the right to deny any and all rebate requests.
