We are hearing reports that our members are receiving calls telling them that "you have been overcharged by your electric utility." The caller then relays information on how to get the supposed funds they are due. 

Please know that this is a SCAM. Do not give out your personal information, and always be cautious on the telephone when you don't start the call first.

PPEC will not call members and demand personal information. If you are unsure whether you are talking to a legitimate PPEC staffer, please hang up the phone and call us back at 800-686-2357.
