We are excited to welcome Ben Hicks to the Paulding Putnam team! He joins us as the first Right-of-Way and Easement Coordinator, a brand new role at the co-op.
Here's a fun Q&A with Ben to help our members get to know the newest Paulding Putnam family member!
Tell us a bit about your family and where you're from.
"I live in Payne with my wife and my 4-year-old stepdaughter. We share our home with a husky, three cats, and 12 chickens."
Why did you want to work at Paulding Putnam?
"I was looking for a shorter commute and a closer-knit group of individuals to work with, and it sounded like I would find that at Paulding Putnam."
Tell us about your work history.
"I've worked in vegetation management for the last nine years. Most recently, I was the Supervisor of Forestry Operations for NIPSCO in Goshen and Angola, Indiana."
What will you be doing here at Paulding Putnam?
"I'll be managing tree contractors and speaking with members about acquiring easement rights on their property. I'll also handle real property transfers and permit applications."
What are you looking forward to?
"While on the job, I look forward to speaking with interesting people here in Northwest Ohio."
What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of work?
"I enjoy camping, backpacking, and pottery."

"I can juggle."
